Text Box: As you read this over 50,000 youth in community District 11 which includes our Parkchester Community are in need of after school programs each year. St. Raymond’s Community Outreach program is one of the only free after school centers for the residents of the Parkchester community. Our programs continue to serve over 300 Bronx youth annually. However each year we have to turn away more than 100 community members due to lack of additional resources. That’s why I’m asking you to help St. Raymond’s Community Outreach program now. During these difficult economic times the demand for free after school programs is at its highest. St. Raymond Community Outreach offers the only free academic support for children 6-11 years old and structured leadership support and creative skills building for teens 12-19 in our LEAD program. I know that if you could help just one child from Parkchester attend an educational and artistic program such as St. Raymond’s Community Outreach you would. You and I agree that our families are the backbone of our community and that academic support and artistic encouragement for our children build healthy and strong leaders for tomorrow. Your help provides literacy and math tutoring for first through third grade students Your caring support helps encourage our teen participants to explore their creative skills through the arts and music. Your leadership to partner with St. Raymond’s Community Outreach helps us create a safe, artistic and learning environment for all Parkchester children. This is all possible because of you.
